Teams play on a pro FIFA pitch in Liberia, just 20 minutes from Liberia airport, with epic beaches, waterfalls and the true Pura Vida vibe right on the doorstep.
I’m thrilled to join as Ambassador and Lead Commentator, alongside USA Sevens legend and three-time Olympian Perry Baker, with two-time USA Rugby Coach of the Year Stephen Lewis as Tournament Director.
The weekend kicks off on December 3 with the captain’s run and a welcome reception at the historic Guanacaste Museum, followed by two days of Men’s and Women’s 7s action on December 4–5.

I’m excited to return for my fourth consecutive year as Brand Ambassador and Lead Commentator, once again working alongside former Great Britain Sevens captain and Olympic silver medalist Tom Mitchell. It’s one of the highlights of my sporting calendar every year!
With 100+ international teams, 3,000+ athletes, and an action-packed festival atmosphere, the Algarve Sports Festival offers world-class competition both on and off the field.

Since its inception in 2012, the RugbyTown 7s has welcomed some of the world’s best sevens teams and players, including Olympians and international stars, lighting up Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado.
What truly sets this tournament apart is the fiercely contested Armed Forces Championship, where all five branches — the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marines — battle it out for the coveted title of Champion. And with $10,000 in prize money up for grabs for the tournament winner, the competition is as tight as a boxer’s glove!
RugbyTown is special to me. I played in the inaugural tournament in 2012 and have been part of the broadcast at all but one edition since. I’m proud to return as Ambassador, Lead Commentator and Documentary Series Producer.
At the 14th edition in 2026, I was a proud Tsunami Sport Ambassador, and Tsunami Rugby made history by being crowned champions for the first time ever. I also spent the week filming the new RugbyTown 7s Documentary Series, so keep an eye out for it!
The 15th edition takes place August 20–22, 2027. See you in Glendale. It’s going to be Champagne Rugby, my friends!
